The Early Childhood curriculum prepares Adult Learners to teach children 2 1/2 through 6 years of age.
It also consists of two units, Unit A: Pedagogical Theory and Unit B: Externship /Internship.
The Educational level of this course is that of undergraduate, post-secondary or continuing education, according to the criteria of ACCET Accreditation Council for Continuing Education and Training, as well as per MACTE (Montessori Council for Teachers Education) requirements.
The Early Childhood Course consists of approximately 200 lecture hours, 60 unsupervised hours, 60 supervised practicum hours, 280 hours of teaching experience or internship throughout the course duration, including the assignments of presentation, individual reading and preparation of the notebooks or manuals.
This course provides students with an understanding of the language developmental process and introduces them to the English Language curriculum and materials that are geared for 2 ½-6 years old children. Materials will be demonstrated to show that this approach to teaching language and literacy skills can be used with any language. This content-based Language Arts program is integrated with the Cultural Subjects and Mathematics. This structured sequence of activities makes it possible for children to achieve maximum development of language and literacy skills while they are building vocabulary, developing classified nomenclatures, and reading and writing skills. Students will have hands-on experience with all the materials and will receive lesson plans for every presentation.

This course provides students with an understanding of the process and preparation of the mathematical mind in 2 ½-6 years old children. It is designed to teach math concepts using concrete materials, one mathematical concept at a time. Students will learn to teach Math more effectively by using manipulative because concrete materials provide a way for students to connect their understanding and experience with real objects to mathematical concepts. Students will have hands-on experience with all materials and will receive lesson plans for every presentation.

This course provides students with an understanding of the Education of the senses and introduces them to the Sensorial curriculum and materials that are geared for 2 ½-6 years old children. The materials are self-correcting and are structured to meet the need of each period of growth and development. The sensitive periods and the use of materials that prepare successfully for Language and Math skills will be presented in detail. Students will have hands-on experience with all the materials and will receive lesson plans for every presentation.
Clock Hours: 24 hrs
This course provides students with an understanding of the overview of the Cultural curriculum, such as Botany, Zoology, Geology, Geography, and History. They are taught the value of using the Cultural Subjects to inspire the children to expand their knowledge of language by providing a rich vocabulary and literacy skills. They are also taught how to organize the Cultural subjects’ curriculum and how to stimulate children’s learning.
Clock Hours: 28 hrs
This course provides students with an understanding of the value of Practical Life Education and introduces them to Practical Life curriculum and materials that are geared for 2 ½-6years old children. The materials are self-correcting and meet the needs of each period of growth and development. Their characteristics will be discussed in detail. They include lessons in introductory exercises, Care of the Person, Care of the Environment, Grace and Courtesy, and Montessori Games. Students will have hands-on experience with the Practical Life materials and will receive lesson plans for every presentation.

Principles and techniques as well as verbalization skills needed to obtain a class environment conductive to learning and self-discipline. How to manage discipline situations, how to maintain the record and progress of each student, how to prepare plans of study, how to talk to parents and how to solve all kinds of situations in an environment with rationality.

This course is designed to provide an intensive practical and comprehensive study of Dr. Maria Montessori method of education. It also includes the study of the different stages of development and the child’s psychological characteristics from birth to 12 years of age.

This course provides students with an understanding of the value of integrating Physical Science in to the Prepared Environment. Its curriculum provides students the knowledge, context, experience, information, and skills necessary to inspire young children to explore and experiment the world around them. Maria Montessori believed in the Cosmic Education – the relationship of all living things to one another and their role in the universe. Children of 3-6 are at their sensitive period for sorting, classifying, observing, experimenting, and ordering. Therefore, the sciences such as Biology, Geology, Astronomy, Meteorology, Physics, and Chemistry, must be included in the classroom.

This course provides students with an understanding of the importance of incorporating Music and Movement in the Prepared Environment. They are also encouraged to express their feelings, experiences, and creativities through Music and movement, so they can inspire young children to do so because these helps to refine motor, gross motor, auditory discrimination, self-expression, physical coordination, concentration, memory, language skills, and much more!
